The main entrance to the building is up a flight stairs from the street, so this first-floor unit has lots of sun through its many windows, but also privacy. From the foyer inside the main entrance, the door to the unit is on your left and opens into a living room with carpeted floors, original copper fireplace (decorative only, sorry!) and lovely arched side windows and a large front window to the street.
A hallway runs from the living room down to the kitchen in the rear of the apartment. Along this hallway are two HUGE closets, deep as well as wide, with room for hanging and storing anything you like.
A bedroom is across from the second closet, with neutral grey carpet and a window overlooking the side of the building. At the end of the hall is the first bathroom, with lots of vintage touches: deep tub with rounded edge and shower, penny and subway tile, and small vanity and sink.
The kitchen is at the rear of the unit, and it’s large and bright with room for a small eat-in table. It has tons of cabinets and countertops, a gas stove and a deep sink.
The 2nd larger bedroom is through the kitchen – fully separated from the rest of the unit and very private. It also has a neutral grey carpet, a deep closet, and an en suite bathroom with a standing shower. The rooms are completely separate from each other, so this unit provides excellent privacy to whoever is using them!
Incredible, convenient Northside Berkeley location, just a few blocks over from campus, downhill from Lawrence Labs and 4 blocks up from the Gourmet Ghetto. Easy access to the university, and all the businesses along Shattuck Avenue, plus easy access to BART and bus lines.
Garbage paid by the owner, tenants are responsible for PGE, Water and internet.
