This spacious ADU is tucked behind the main house on an extra large lot on Oregon Street. It’s brand new, with a modern farmhouse design and creative use of space that makes the 850 sqft footprint a versatile and appealing place to call home.
There is a main “front door” that leads to the common space, but each of the 3 bedrooms also has its own locking “front door” entrance/exit for extra privacy. The flooring throughout the unit is blond hardwood, and all of the rooms have tall peaked ceilings with exposed ceiling beams and cool light fixtures.
From the front concrete patio, french doors lead into a large open floor plan kitchen/living room with peaked ceiling, exposed beam, and high end farmhouse fixtures. A pocket door separates this front common room from the hallway with a new stacked washer/dryer and entrances to the hall bathroom and all three bedrooms.
The “front bedroom” (10.5 x 13.5) is directly on the right as you leave the common room. It has an exterior door that opens out to the same concrete patio as the common room french doors, and could be used as an office, den, or bedroom. There’s an en suite bathroom with standing shower and cool grey hex tile and the peaked ceilings create a nice storage loft with custom lighting above the closet and bathroom.
The “left bedroom” (10.5 x 10.5) is on the left of the hallway, just after the stacked washer dryer. It also has an exterior door to the side yard, a nice closet, and a cool storage loft with custom lighting. This bedroom also has a door that leads into the hall bath.
The “right bedroom” (9 x 14) is in the rear of the unit, and also has an exterior door, peaked ceiling, and ample closet space.
The hall bathroom is pristine, with gray hex tile, white subway tile, shower over tub, and large privacy window for maximum light and ventilation.
Great central Berkeley location. Just two doors down from Berkeley Bowl (!!) and 4 blocks away from Ashby BART. Easy car-free access to all that Berkeley has to offer – though there is plenty of street parking if you do have a car.
$200/month flat fee for all utilities, except Tenants are responsible for their own internet.
